Hi, I’m CLARE MARTIN
My two favourite sayings are ‘behaviour breeds behaviour’ and ‘where there’s a will there’s a way’. Having worked as a teacher for most of my career, I have now discovered that in counselling and coaching people, both these phrases sum up virtually everything we do. It is by looking at our behaviours we are able to rethink, what is the ‘will’ that is making us act in certain ways?
I am a very experienced Primary School teacher and have taught extensively across all year groups from Reception to Year 8. From this I have significant expertise in working with children and adults from many diverse backgrounds. I have always had a special interest, knowledge and understanding of children who have special needs or exhibit challenging behaviours.
My deep-rooted passion for helping parents and children facing difficulties, led me to coaching. I firmly believe in the power of seeking solutions and improvements in every situation, rather than to just accept things as they are. I wholeheartedly believe that where there’s a will to make things better, there’s always a way and from this change can happen.
